Not Much of a Year In Review

I'm not going to do a lengthly year-in-review post. I bought a house in Fernley, Nevada, attended a Worldcon (managing to keep my string of consecutive attendance of Worldcons since 1989 alive only because that Worldcon was in Reno and I signed the offer paper for the house the day after the convention at an office about a mile from the Reno-Sparks convention center), and, during the last weeks of the year, encountered Day Jobbe Turbulence. Around the time of Worldcon, I helped Lisa move from Mehama to Fernley, and she's living here full time while I remain an occasional guest in my own home.

There was a whole lot more. I'm not doing the places-stayed-overnight meme because actually I can't remember them all.

2012 looks like it will be very stressful during at least the first quarter. I'll be spending the next couple of months continuing to move most of my belongings from Fremont to Fernley as the lease on the current apartment runs out. Until I find a relatively inexpensive place to live, preferably somewhere between San Jose and Palo Alto, starting in April-May, I'm going to be very nervous.
