That Would Have Been Messy

Yesterday, I thought I might have a tire going flat and stopped to have a look. Turned out there was no problem, but it got me to thinking: where was my wheel lock? I have lug nuts with one locking nut for which you need the special piece to remove the nut. I'd had to tell my mechanic where it was (in the glove compartment) so he could get the wheels off to do the inspection and work on the van, but the key wasn't in the glove compartment anymore. I started to worry. What if it had gotten lost? Having a flat tire out on the road would have been more than a little unpleasant. I called my mechanic this afternoon, and he let me know that his assistant had put it in the pocket on the driver's side door. I checked, and sure enough, the key was there. Whew! I put it back in the plastic bag in the glove compartment where it is supposed to be.
