Fast Trains and Slow, in the Snow

While I was out shooting the other photos this morning, the westbound California Zephyr came scooting through on time at speed. I had the camera set to burst mode and got the series of photos starting here.

Later that morning, Union Pacific's "Fernley Flyer" (a name obviously meant ironically) rolled into town to switch the local sidings. A took a picture from the front porch, the view unimpeded by the completely demolished lumber yard.
