Waste Not, Want Not

While we were packing up radio equipment in Mehama, Lisa spotted something that would fit in available space in the rental trailer and asked if we could have it as well, and her brother said yes.

These are the rusty-but-solid and still usable parts to make a wheelbarrow. All they need are replacements for the wooden bits, which rotted away in Oregon's damp long ago. The wheel is still in good shape. While the thing is rusty, Fernley's climate means it probably won't degrade further. We just need to go buy some wheelbarrow handles.

I think Lisa's brother was happy to be rid of this. I expect Lisa will make it into a useful tool around the property. She and I hate to throw things away that would otherwise be usable.
