Because we were so efficient with our shopping, we were home about the time the San Francisco-Seattle playoff game started. We don't have broadcast or cable television here, but I was able to listen to the game on KNBR via iHeartRadio, and for the first three quarters, it looked like the 49ers would win, it maybe not cover my 3 1/2-point ticket. But things fell apart in the end, and Seattle's going to the Super Bowl where they will face the Denver Broncos. Oh, well, I probably wouldn't have been able to see the game anyway inasmuch as I'll be driving back to the Bay Area that day. I wish the two teams the Ice Bowl that some people assume a Super Bowl in New Jersey in January will be.
Meanwhile, I've determined by trial and error that I can watch ESPN3 coverage of the Australian open on my home network (provider AT&T, but not U-verse), but not the ESPN2 "main stage" coverage. So I get to see some of the matches, but not all of them.
