Last of the Eggnog

I like eggnog, but as a diabetic, I shouldn't drink much of it. We therefore get some pretty good quality eggnog from Whole Foods Market, and I try to stretch it out over time, short of letting it spoil. On Monday, I drank the last of the last jug. That follows my finishing off the last of the duck soup that I made from the carcass of the Christmas duck. With that last bowl of soup and last swig of eggnog, the Christmas food season comes to an end at Fernley House.

I'm not counting a small bowl of leftovers from Christmas dinner that ended up pushed to the back of the fridge and forgotten. It's going into the garbage, I'm afraid. Whoops.
