Burn Baby Burn

Rather to my surprise, there was still a small bit of fire in the fireplace this morning from burning old bills and statements yesterday. That was handy because I found another box of statements and no-longer-needed records from six or more years ago and usefully destroyed them this morning.

Burn Them Bills

Besides getting rid of documents that would be a hassle to shred, this also served to heat my lunch, in the form of a can of soup in the pot on top of the stove.

It's now warm enough inside and out that I can let the fire go back out again. If it stays warm for a while, we will move the small wood box off the porch to allow for us to clean and possibly repaint the worn patches.
