The Haze Returns

After a week of relatively clear air and cooler weather, the winds have shifted and the smoke from a reported more than 900 wildfires in California (and a few in western Nevada) is starting to drift back this direction.

Haze Returning

The EPA's AirNow website reports that air quality is still good and will only get up to moderate today. That doesn't mean my eyes aren't watering from the smoke in the air.

I wish I could have swapped the temperatures earlier this week with those expected in the next few days, because I'd hoped to get a significant outdoor home-improvement project done or at least significantly tackled over the long weekend coming up, and this will complicate things. But I swear that I'm not complaining, for I'm aware of just how lucky we are here compared to so many other people who have lost their homes, jobs, and lives lately due to fires, floods, hurricanes, a pandemic, and sundry other disasters.
