
The view to the east of our house is pretty cluttered, but today the combination of a straight shot down Front Street and the sun reddened by lingering smoke from western wildfires made for a shot that even my camera phone could capture.
There is much less smoke than there was a couple of weeks ago, thank goodness. Venus in the morning sky is white again, so the only red point in the morning sky these days is Mars in the western morning sky, in its natural, not smoke-assisted, color.
