Feeling Better, but Traffic Makes Me Sick

Going home last night instead of attending the BASFA meeting was probably the best things to do, as I fell into bed early and felt better this morning. Or at least I did until I ran into heavy traffic on the way to work again. It looks like the five extra miles added to my commute is, on the average, going to add 20-30 minutes to the travel time every day.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

It would take a near miracle for them to make the playoffs now, but I've attended at least one San Francisco Giants baseball game every season since I moved to the Bay Area, and the only way for me to keep that streak alive is to attend during their final home series. Therefore, I plan to buy a View Reserved ticket (see seat map) for the final game of the season, Sunday, October 2, 1:05 PM against the Arizona Diamondbacks. This is also Fan Appreciation Day, with a bunch of prizes to be given away. Winning the 2006 Toyota Avalon XLS would be pretty cool, but winning a round-trip on the California Zephyr would be nice, too.

Anyway, tickets are $24 plus whatever "convenience fees" they tack on. I plan to buy the tickets on Wednesday. Anyone interested in joining me should contact me directly.

Incidentally, the San Jose Giants won the California League championship last night. Go Giants!
