Crash Course in Video Editing

I spent much of today after work editing video from SMOFCon 37¼ and getting it uploaded. I'm really impressed with how fast this new computer compiles video. Using AVC (I haven't gotten around to putting Adobe Premiere on the new machine), which does what I needed today (trimming ends and splitting video into pieces), I get a decent-quality 90-minute video compiled in under five minutes. And thanks to the cable internet for which we sprung earlier this year, uploading the video to YouTube doesn't take too long, either.

I've uploaded all of the videos (nine videos total from five program items, as I split bids by year and divided the future SMOFCons panel into seated and bids). The longer videos are still processing as I type this, but they'll presumably be all online at the SMOFCon 37¼ YouTube Channel soon.

Note that the order in which the videos appear on the YouTube channel defaults to newest first. To see them in the order they happened, sort the videos "Date added (oldest)." If you want to see the bids for future Worldcons in the order in which they were presented, view them though the Worldcon Bids playlist.
