This evening I received a comment
to the message I posted last September about the hotel room prices at Nippon 2007. It's actually a sort of comment spam, I guess, but it's the most intelligent spam I've ever read -- so much so that I replied to it, because it makes a valid-sounding point. A slightly clueless one, but not any more so than other replies from people I know.
This certainly sounds like an actual human being writing it, although possibly not one for whom English is a first language, but it's almost certainly a kind of spam, given the signature and the lack of details for the LJ user.
OTOH, if computers are managing to write spam that sounds that plausible, look out humans! Current Mood: perplexed
