The Only Place the Floor Should Be That Slippery Is At a Skating Rink
Yesterday morning, coming in to the office through light rain, I walked through the lobby, which has what I consider to be uselessly polished floors. As I rounded a corner heading for the stairs, I slipped and fell rather hard on my left knee. It took me a minute or so to gather myself sufficiently to get up. I limped up to my desk. I was okay later, although my left ankle started bothering me a bit when I went out for lunch.
Over dinner, I noticed that a large bruise was forming on my left hand. And when I showered this morning, my left knee was also showing the effects of what was obviously a harder knock than I realized. Fortunately I didn't break anything, and while I've got purple splotches, I'm not in any pain or anything. I got lucky, I guess. Current Mood: relieved
