Time Event
Bonus Update
I was indeed fortunate to not have the middle seat fill, which made for a decent flight across the country this morning. Those winds that delayed my return to the Bay Area by around an hour last week seem to still be blowing the same direction, as we got to Charlotte 45 minutes early. I find that this airport has free wi-fi, like PDX. In fact, the general feel of this place, based on only a few minutes acquaintance, is similar to the rebuilt Portland Airport. Still, no time to sit here; I need to take advantage of the extra time to get something to eat and take a little walk before my 4:10 flight up to Boston.

SMOFCon Is Safe From Me Now
I got to Boston about an hour after Cheryl, who was waiting for me at the USAir baggage claim and guided me through Logan Airport's habitrail system to the Hilton. We popped upstairs to collect our membership credentials and to deposit our cheese in their ice chest, then headed back to the room so I could unpack. I fired up the computer and we discovered that the hotel's policy is to allow only one user per room account on the wireless, and Cheryl is it. So while I'll be able to check my mail now and then and post at times when Cheryl can let me use her computer, I won't be able to pack my machine around with me and nearly live-blog SMOFCon like I did at Portland.
