Bush Bunny

This morning, I went onto the front porch to get some wood for the fireplace and saw a welcome visitor to the vacant lot next door.

Bush Bunny

By the time I got my phone (which only has 4x zoom) to take a picture of the returning rabbit, it had moved underneath the center bush in this photo. It didn't run there; it appeared to be foraging and moving deliberately. You'll probably have to click through and enlarge the photo to see the bunny.

I've seen the local rabbits now and then during the winter, but they don't come out that often during the cold weather. This may be a sign that spring is near.
