This thermometer, which we bought in Finland after much searching for one that didn't have a F scale, is mounted on a post on the back porch that generally doesn't get direct sunlight. However, the sun does hit the other side of the post, which probably does lead to the thermometer heating up as the heat soaks through the post.
Lisa is sensibly staying in her trailer under its air conditioning. (Unfortunately, her AC is being troublesome, so she's rigged up the other swamp cooler for supplemental cooling.) I stay very close to the swamp cooler and hope for the best.
