Credit Where Due

As I wrote yesterday, there are now proper platform signs at the Fremont/Centerville train station. I wrote to Gene Skoropowski at the Capitol Corridor to ask who was responsible for getting the signs posted. (It could have been one of a number of different agencies.) He promptly wrote back and told me that it "was a joint Capitol Corridor and Amtrak effort. It took a bit longer than planned but we are glad you appreciate the signs."

Well, once again I say, "good for them!"

I hope we'll see fewer cases of people going to the wrong platform and then dashing across the tracks at grade in front of an oncoming train when they realize they are on the wrong platform.
