Intelligent Spam

This evening I received a comment to the message I posted last September about the hotel room prices at Nippon 2007. It's actually a sort of comment spam, I guess, but it's the most intelligent spam I've ever read -- so much so that I replied to it, because it makes a valid-sounding point. A slightly clueless one, but not any more so than other replies from people I know.

This certainly sounds like an actual human being writing it, although possibly not one for whom English is a first language, but it's almost certainly a kind of spam, given the signature and the lack of details for the LJ user.

OTOH, if computers are managing to write spam that sounds that plausible, look out humans!
