Just Missed Me

On my way home from tonight's BASFA meeting, I turned off I-880 onto Thornton Avenue and noticed that while traffic lights were working, street lights were not. Soon it became obvious that there was a medium-sized power failure in progress. As I got closer to Fremont Blvd., traffic lights were out as well. I steeled myself for stumbling into my apartment in the dark. However, while the traffic light on the corner before my condo complex was out, the lights were on at my complex itself, and in the apartment.

This is of course yet another warning to me that I should get a UPS, particularly because there is computer equipment here that needs to stay turned on all the time and I'm going to be away for a month in August-September.
