Bad news: thanks to vicious headwinds, we were roughly 45 minutes late arriving SFO. Poor Cheryl had to sit around all that time waiting for me; fortunately, she had a book to read.
My noise-canceling headphones worked well, and I even dozed a little bit. I mostly listened to ATC on United Channel 9. There was apparently no clear air anywhere along our flight path today. I have to hand it to our pilot; he tried every altitude that ATC would give him that had any hints of calm air, but the only place that apparently was smooth was 41000 feet, where we couldn't go initially (too heavy) and where there was no point in going once we could (because we were somewhere over Nevada making our way down).
I have nothing scheduled for tomorrow, which is good because I might just sleep most of the day.
