It has been an absolutely terrible day for me. The pinched nerve in my back meant I was in terrible pain when I got out of bed and slight pain all of the time anyway. It took me 30 minutes to get from the bed to the bathroom to my computer. Work today was an agony as I can't stay in one position more than a few minutes before the pain comes back.
I was able to stretch out enough to get into the car and drive to Walgreen's, where I bought a cane. I do hope I don't need to end up trading it in for a walker!
There's little point in going to the doctor's office for this. It happened once before a couple of years ago, and the answer was then and probably is now, "It will probably get better on its own. Rest as much as you can."
And if anyone suggests: I don't really want to file yet another Worker's Comp case, on account of the pain having been brought about by a work-related activity. I feel pretty certain that the doctors would end up saying that I exacerbated an older injury or condition (like the previous time I went through it with my foot) and thus it's not covered.
I don't want to be disabled. I want to get my work done.
